Koh Ker is an ancient temple complex located in northern Cambodia, about 120 km from Siem Reap. It was the brief capitalof the Khmer Empire during the reign of King Jayavarman IV. Koh Ker is known for its unique architectural style, including the largest pyramid temple in Cambodia. The site is nestled in a jungle setting, offering a peaceful and remote experience for visitors.
Modern Remains
Modern remains at Koh Ker include the Prasat Thom pyramid, which towers above the jungle, and several other temples such as Prasat Balang, Prasat Krachap, and Prasat Dambang.
