Description

Myinsaing was the capital of the Myinsaing Kingdom, a short-lived Burmese kingdom that existed from the early 14th century to the late 14th century. It was located in central Myanmar, near the modern city of Mandalay. The kingdom emerged after the fall of the Pagan Empire and was ruled by a series of local dynasties, including the founding Min clan.

Modern Remains

Today, Myinsaing no longer exists as a political entity, but its historical significance remains in the archaeological sites and ruins in the region. The area around modern-day Myinsaing, especially near Mandalay, retains remnants of the period, with some temples and structures dating back to the 14th century, providing insight into the early post-Pagan period of Burmese history.
