Description

Mtskheta was the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Iberia (also known as the Kingdom of Kartli), located in present-day Georgia. Founded in antiquity, it was an important religious, cultural, and political center, situated at the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers.
