Modern Remains

"Today, Mandalay remains a major cultural and religious hub in Myanmar. The reconstructed Mandalay Palace, the remnants of the old city walls and moat, and religious landmarks like the Kuthodaw Pagoda (home to the ""world's largest book"") reflect its royal past. The city preserves many traditions of the Konbaung era, making it a vital link to Myanmar’s historical identity."
