Modern Remains
Today, Kauśāmbī is an archaeological site located near the town of Sirathu. Excavations have uncovered ancient ruins, including fortifications, pottery, and inscriptions, which provide valuable insights into the city's past. While much of the city’s grandeur has been lost, the remains serve as an important site for historical and religious studies, especially for those interested in early Buddhism and Jainism.
