Modern Remains
Today, Jauja is a small city that retains some of its colonial-era charm. While not a major urban center, it serves as a regional hub in central Peru. Modern remains of its colonial past include churches and colonial-style buildings, though much of its earlier infrastructure has been overtaken by more recent developments. The area remains known for its beautiful landscapes, agriculture, and as a gateway to the central Andes.
