Description
Goris is a historic town located in the southeastern part of Armenia, nestled in a picturesque valley surrounded by cliffs and mountains. It was part of the Republic of Mountainous Armenia (also known as the First Republic of Armenia's independence efforts during the early 20th century), which briefly existed during 1918–1920 as a self-declared independent Armenian state amidst political turmoil following the Russian Empire's collapse.
