Today, the ruins of Dibon, known as Dhiban, are an important archaeological site in Jordan. Excavations have revealed remnants of city walls, temples, and the famous Moabite Stone. These discoveries help historians understand the social, political, and religious practices of the Moabites and their interactions with neighboring cultures. The Moabite Stone, now housed in the Louvre, remains one of the most significant inscriptions from the ancient Near East.
