Jeddah is a historic coastal city in Saudi Arabia, located along the Red Sea. It served as the capital of the Kingdom of Hejaz from 1916 to 1925, during the time of the Hejaz Railway and the rule of King Hussein bin Ali. Jeddah is known as a gateway for Muslims traveling to Meccafor the Hajj pilgrimage.
