Description

Malkheda, located in the Bidar district of Karnataka, India, was the capital of the Rashtrakuta Dynasty during the 8th to 10th centuries CE. The city was a flourishing center of culture, administration, and religion. It played a significant role in the political and military strategies of the Rashtrakutas. Malkheda is renowned for its strategic location and cultural contributions to the Deccan region.

Modern Remains

Modern Malkheda, now a small town, still retains remnants of its glorious past.
